Roberto the ship owner
From the end of 2020, Roberto is the proud owner and captain of the sailing ship “Siora Veronica”, he’s one of the most successful Italian sailors of all time, one of the few helmsmen who won a world sailing championship in the famous Olympic Star Class. He took part twice in the Olympic Games and, as professional sailor he sailed seas and lakes all over the world during his career, with both small and big boats. He won also a transatlantic race and a lot of Italian sailing competitions.
On Lake Garda, he’s famous to be the winner of the most editions ever of the historical “Centomiglia” regatta, which takes place every year on September since 1951, as traditional sailing race across all the lake. For 12 times, the boats commanded by Roberto crossed the finish line first: sometimes with open class sailboats with 14 athletes on the trapeze, sometimes with the super-fast “Extreme 40” catamarans. Since 4 years, he’s the undefeated champion of this famous competition.
